Sammy Friedman, LAC

Sammy Friedman, LAC, is a graduate of the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, earning a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling before transitioning immediately into licensure as a Licensed Associate Counselor. Sammy has built a diverse clinical background, providing comprehensive mental health support within both community college settings and correctional facilities. Experiencing work across a wide variety of populations, Sammy has treated individuals navigating substance use, complex mental health conditions, and major life struggles.

Dedicated to a holistic framework, Sammy incorporates specialized focuses in career counseling and financial literacy work. Sammy has also sought out advanced trainings through the Veterans Affairs (VA), the American Association of Suicidality, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to ensure a high level of adaptive care. In therapeutic sessions, Sammy leans on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) while utilizing an integrative approach, rooted in the core belief of helping anyone in need, however they need it.
