Michael Capko
Michael Capko joins JFS after 15+ years in grant writing and program management focused on substance use prevention and recovery support services. He has extensive experience in all aspects of the grant lifecycle, from writing proposals and building budgets to managing funded programs, handling ongoing reporting, and carrying each grant through to closeout.
Most recently, he served as the Senior Project Manager at the RWJBarnabas Health Institute for Prevention and Recovery. In this role, he built systems and protocols to enhance program delivery, improve budget forecasts, and refine program workflows. Additional roles at RWJBarnabas Health included overseeing a team of prevention program staff, expanding school programming in Ocean County, and partnering with community organizations on a state-funded regional prevention coalition. Under Michael’s leadership, this coalition received national recognition from Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA).
Michael is excited to join JFS and become part of a team so deeply committed to serving the community.
