Parent Skills Training

Parenting children and teens can be a daunting task for even the most seasoned parent. Special needs, stresses of Covid-19, family circumstances, school and peer pressure challenges, and the over exposure to social media make an already complex job even more so. JFS is excited to present a new workshop series, Parenting Skills Training.

This rolling enrollment series will meet every Monday evening 6:00 – 6:55, and will be facilitated by JFS therapist Anne Marie M. Ramos, LCSW, RPT-S.

Topics will include disruptive behavior, child anxiety, sibling rivalry, the homework struggle, emotional dysregulation, and more. Some topics will run for consecutive sessions and parents are encouraged to attend all sessions relation to a topic. Upcoming topics will be posted on our website at least 1 week beforehand, so participants can decide if they would like to join for that series.

This workshop will be in-person at JFS, with a virtual option. The fee is $20 each workshop per family.
