Assistance in resume writing/modification, interviewing skills and some job
networking is available through the JFS vocational counseling division, and can be arranged through the Project Chizuk benefits specialist as well.
There are many government and private resources available for community members to access; even those who own homes and have a current income may be eligible for some of these programs.
Experienced benefits specialists are available for private consultations at no charge to review applications and assist in applying for relevant entitlements. Call Abbie for an appointment.
To expedite review of your family situation, and helping us to determine your eligibility for various programs, you have the option of completing the attached form and returning it to us via fax or e-mail. The form can be filled out anonymously, leaving a phone number for contact purposes.

Project Chizuk is Jewish Family Service’s Vocational Services Department. At JFS, we understand the stress associated with unemployment and applying to jobs. Through individualized job coaching, you can strengthen your interviewing skills, obtain assistance with resume writing, and receive support as you apply to potential jobs.
Project Chizuk services includes:
- Resume and cover letter preparation
- Proficiency in interview & public speaking skills
- Career and job counseling
- Access to job bank referrals
- Collaboration with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) for career changes, re-training, and access to no-cost services to NJ residents.

Dress to Impress
The Dress to Impress clothing g’mach is a service of Project Chizuk that provides community members with the opportunity to receive work clothing attire. Commonly donated items include suits, blouses, shirts, and skirts.
Our mission to assist men and women of the community to Dress to Impress for work.
