Elke Stein, LCSW
DIRECTOR OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT SERVICES
Elke obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work of Yeshiva University in 1999 and she brings years of experience in the field of family violence to JFS. Elke has been the director of Project S.A.R.A.H. (Stop Abusive Relations At Home) since 2000 and has facilitated the growth of the program to a statewide, federally funded national model for serving undeserved populations. She is a recipient of the Wynona M. Lipman Empowerment Award for her work with abused women. She has been trained as a forensic examiner in Child First/Finding Words. Elke has additional training in family therapy, CBT, DBT, trauma focused therapy, and marital therapy.
