Eli Zilkavitch, LCSW
Eli joins us at JFS after two decades as an educator in various Torah institutions in Jerusalem. Eli holds a Bachelor of Science from NYU, and a Master of Social Work from Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School.
Fluent in Hebrew, he received clinical training in treatment of severe mental illness under the close instruction of Dr. Shlomit Katz, Chief of Psychiatry, at the Kefar Shaul Mental Hospital in Jerusalem. Eli also received clinical training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) under the instruction of Dr. Sara Friedman, Clinical Director of CBT at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem. Additionally, Eli trained as an extern in Psychodynamic Family Therapy at the Jerusalem Family Institute. Most recently, Eli has completed trainings in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) with EFT founder Sue Johnson, and trainers Scott Woolley and George Faller. Eli holds Social Work Licenses in New York, New Jersey, and Israel.
